Trio dream pop elettonico islandese nato nel 2013, i Vök arrivano in Italia con il loro nuovo LP “In The Dark”,
pubblicato il 1 marzo 2019 e prodotto da James Earp.
“Night & Day”, “Autopilot” e “Spend The Love” sono i singoli condivisi.
Nel 2013 la band si è aggiudicata il prestigioso Músíktilraunir, una competizione musicale islandese che annovera tra i suoi ex vintitori Mammút, Of Monsters And Men e Samaris. La vittoria li ha presto portati alla registrazione e alla pubblicazione del loro Ep di debutto “Tension” via Record Records. Acclamato da Noisey che l’ha definito “channelling the Beach soundtrack via 1980s synth pop and the modern sexiness of The Knife”, Il secondo EP “Circles”, del 2015, ha raccolto eguali consensi di pubblico e critica.
Dopo un tour che li ha portati nei più importanti festival europei, la band ha firmato con la Nettwerk Music Group (Angus & Julia Stone, Boxed In, The Veils). Nel 2017 hanno pubblicato il loro LP di debutto “Figure”. Prodotto da Brett Cox, collaboratore di Jack Garrett, è stato definito da The Line of Best Fit come un “brillante album di debutto”. Il disco si è anche aggiudicato la nomina di “Album of the Year” nella categoria Electronic Music agli Icelandic Music Awards.
