The Amazon, la giovane rock band di Reading (UK) osannata dalla critica, debuttano in italia a Novembre per un’UNICA DATA.
I The Amanzon sembrano destinati a confermare il loro status di migliore nuova rock band inglese con l’annuncio del loro atteso omonimo album di debutto, in uscita il prossimo 2 Giugno via Fiction Records/Caroline, distribuzione Universal.

È stata una crescita elettrizzante per il quartetto di Reading. I The Amazons sono la most hotly tipped guitar band of 2017 per Music Week, sono stati selezionati per i BBC Music Sound of 2017, nominati da Q come Best Breakthrough Act e sono apparsi nella lista Brand New 2017 di MTV. Erano presenti nella playlist New Artists 2017 di Apple Music e tra i Ones To Watch di Amazon UK e Deezer. La band è stata ospite del ‘Later… with Jools Holland’ e a Maggio sarà ospite del BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
La stampa musicale è tutta dalla loro parte, con NME, Kerrang!, Metro, Daily Star, Daily Mior, Gigwise e Radio X tra i tanti. Zane Lowe di Beat 1 è un grande fan, così come Huw Stephens, Annie Mac, Clara Amfo, Nick Grimshaw, Mistajam e Greg James di BBC Radio 1.
Prodotto dalla nominata ai Grammy Catherine Marks (Wolf Alice, Foals, PJ Harvey) e registrato presso gli Assault and Battery Studios di west London, l’album è una dichiarazione di intenti dei THE AMAZONS per rinvigorire il rock ‘n’ roll. Appassionato, tenero e rumoroso, questo non è un album solo per i giovani, ma anche chi è giovane dentro.
L’album è una collezione di brani che raccoglie alcune delle canzoni che sono state fondamentali per la loro crescita – tra cui ‘Stay With Me’, l’inno ‘Junk Food Forever’, e ‘Little Something’.
Composti dal chitarrista Chris Alderton, il bassista Elliot Briggs e dal batterista Joe Emmett, i THE AMAZONS hanno affinato la loro musica per un decennio, ma è stato nel giorno di San Valentino del 2014 che hanno finalmente trovato il loro vero suono, grazie ad allo show dei Foals all’Alexandra Palace di Londra. Il quartetto ha da allora cominciato a riascoltare con una nuova coscienza gli artisti che gli hanno fatto venire voglia di iniziare a fare musica: Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana e Led Zeppelin.
