The Orwells, gruppo rock di Elmhurst, Illinois, dopo aver conquistato pubblico e critica
con il singolo d’esordio Mallrats (La La La),
il 2 giugno, anticipato dai singoli Who Needs You? e Dirty Sheets,
ha pubblicato il secondo album, Disgraceland.
Dopo essersi esibita ad agosto 2013 al Lollapalooza Festival, a novembre la band ha accompagnato gli Arctic Monkeys nel loro tour nel Nord America.
A Gennaio 2014 The Orwells sono stati ospiti al Late Show with David Letterman:
la loro performance è stata accolta con entusiasmo, tanto che presentatore e pubblico hanno chiesto più volte il bis.
A Novembre la band sarà in Italia per un live show
che entusiasmerà anche il pubblico italiano:

ha pubblicato questa estate il suo secondo album, Black Rat.
Dopo aver girato in tour per gli ultimi due anni con Foo Fighters, Ratatat, Sleigh Bells ed essersi esibiti a festival come il Reading & Leeds e The Great Escape,
Black Rat è stato registrato in 6 settimane presso lo Studio Grove in Australia con il produttore Burke Reid (MSTRKRFT, The Drones, The Mess Hall).
